Two long-standing clients of Fetcham Park, the British Promotional Merchandise Association (BPMA) and Anti-Copying in Design (ACID), have joined forces to form a powerful new partnership aimed at strengthening the protection of intellectual property (IP) within the promotional merchandise industry.
Both organisations are highly respected leaders in their fields – BPMA with over 50 years of industry guidance and a strong code of conduct for members, and ACID as the UK’s foremost voice for safeguarding design rights and innovation. Regularly hosting board meetings and strategic discussions at Fetcham Park, both associations are now collaborating to ensure that design integrity and product originality are upheld across the promotional merchandise landscape.
This sector plays a significant role in the UK’s vibrant creative industries, contributing over £120 billion to the national economy. However, IP infringement continues to be a widespread issue, with businesses and creators frequently facing challenges from counterfeit or poor-quality imitations. The new alliance between BPMA and ACID aims to tackle these issues head-on by providing vital education, resources, and legal support for members and buyers alike.
